Our Year 9 and Year 10 students represented the school at an exciting SEMH football tournament in Birmingham, competing against schools from across the West Midlands in a highly competitive and enjoyable event.

From the first whistle to the final game, the students demonstrated exceptional attitude, determination and teamwork. Playing against unfamiliar opponents in a new environment presented a real challenge, but the team approached every match with confidence, resilience and respect, reflecting the values we are proud to promote within our school community.

The day did not begin as planned, with the team suffering defeats in their opening two matches. However, rather than becoming discouraged, the students showed remarkable character and perseverance. They continued to support one another, listened carefully to feedback, and worked tirelessly throughout the tournament.

Their hard work and positive mindset paid off as they produced an impressive comeback to finish third in their league — a fantastic achievement and a testament to their resilience and commitment.

Most importantly, the students were outstanding ambassadors for the school, demonstrating sportsmanship, respect and determination throughout the day. They showed that setbacks can be overcome with the right attitude and teamwork.

Well done to all the students involved — you represented the school brilliantly, and we are incredibly proud of your achievement.
